Have you ever heard of the art of Kintsugi?
The art of Kintsugi (purple, black, and gold photo above) is a metaphor for Wanda’s story:
Wanda Reinholdt is passionate about coaching and telling stories to promote and inspire interpersonal, spiritual, and mental wellness. Her ability to listen and connect deeply, as well as transform a story into a film, is second to none. This makes her a highly sought-after director/writer/producer and coach.
Wanda suffered several losses, including neglect, bullying, and betrayal, as well as broken dreams in education, work, and becoming a parent. She filled her hurting heart with social life, work, relational security, opportunities, food, and money. But the grief and disappointment only grew.
It was listening that saved her life.
She was led to coaches, mentors, and a play therapist who saw and heard her. Through their listening support and her faith in action, Wanda healed from PTSD, co-dependency, and lack of personal identity. She learned to celebrate and believe in who she is. She is now living a joy-filled thriving life. She found the gold.
As a coach and filmmaker, Wanda is known for her ability to create safe and transformative listening spaces where she hears and sees others clearly just as she was heard and seen. It is in these spaces that she encourages connection and collaboration through thought-provoking discussions and flourishing joy filled interactions. She engages community in story creating processes, listening sessions, coaching, and wellness discussions. Sometimes these discussions are in the form of talk backs around her award-winning films such as Reflections which tells the story of how members of a family grieved differently.
This review and testimonials capture the power of Wanda’s stories and coaching.
Wanda has received several different awards for her storytelling including Best Director, Best Female Canadian Director, and Best Film.
In addition to her undergrad degrees in Theatre and Music, Wanda has completed film directing and acting apprenticeships with Neil Schell, is a Certified Flourishing Life, Creativity, Wellness, Leadership, and Relationship Coach with Certified Flourishing Coach, the Founder and Artistic Director of Finding the Gold Coaching & Films, formerly Reinholdt Productions.
Wanda is a member in good standing with Alberta Media Production Industries Association (AMPIA) and the Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers (CSIF).
From the field comes a film?!?
Never in a million years did John Reinholdt think that going out into the field as a Crop Insurance Adjustor would one day lead to him and his wife Wanda telling one of their greatest wellness stories ever. But it did. Little did he know that a producer would be in that field and he would be looking for a director and writer. This would be turning point for their business. (See our signature film here that tells this story).
As long as he can remember, John has been expressing himself through writing. He has a passion for reading and is captivated by the way words can create a story that enlightens and teaches us.
John is a writer, actor and producer. He’s producing a children’s book and various short sketches, and continues to enhance his writing skills through local writing group. John was proud to be an actor in Wanda’s award-winning production of Graceland.
John is grateful for the opportunity to create and express his own stories through the written word. He is proud to be a partner at Finding the Gold Coaching & Films, working hand-in-hand with his beautiful wife, Wanda.
